How long will the evaluation take?
Evaluations can last anywhere from 2 hours to a full day, depending on the type of evaluation and referral question. Some evaluations, especially for severely impaired and elderly individuals, may be conducted over several days.
What happens after the evaluation?
For clinical evaluations, a report is generated within two weeks. Patients may return for a feedback session, during which the results and recommendations are shared. For non-clinical evaluations, a report is provided to the referring party typically within two weeks, but sometimes longer for QME/AME evaluations.
Do we accept insurance?
For clinical evaluations, we may accept Medicare, Blue Cross, Health Care Partners, and the ILWU Blue Shield. In other instances, patients may submit a "super bill" to their insurance company. To assist, we can include appropriate CPT codes. Please check with your insurance for more specific coverage questions.
